Resurrection 
In a phrase, this film is the 'greatest story never told'. Past films on the life of Jesus have focused on Christ’s three years of ministry, his disciples, and his death on the cross. "The Passion" focused almost exclusively on his death and torment.
This film however, tells the story of Christ principally through the eyes of Pilate and his wife Claudia, and additionally through a few key players, namely the High Priest Caiaphas, Judas and King Herod. This film, told as a political thriller, examines the back story, answering the how and why questions from a human and political perspective. |
