Out of compassion and guilt from the devastations of Africa’s slave trade, leading western nations have poured trillions of dollars into the continent, to combat poverty and disease, yet the conditions remain deplorable. Can anything be done to change the destinies of these peoples? Is foreign aid actually keeping Africa poor?
Some thinkers and leaders think so and they believe that models of success in the West and East may hold the key to ending poverty in Africa. The film explores ways for charities, governments and for profit businesses to work together to transform Africa through access to life necessities, proper nutrition, medicine, education, and entrepreneurialism.
